Refund Policy
This page explains when we do (and don’t) offer refunds for Gistra.
Last updated: December 23, 2025
TL;DR
- All sales are final. We generally don’t offer refunds because credits can be used immediately.
- If something went wrong (for example, a duplicate charge), contact us and we’ll review it.
- For extenuating circumstances, we may issue a refund or credit at our discretion.
Why we generally don’t offer refunds
Gistra is a digital service that can be used instantly. Credits may be consumed as soon as you extract a transcript or run an AI action.
Because of that, we generally treat purchases as final once completed.
For details about how credits work, see our Credit Usage Policies.
Subscriptions
If you subscribe to a plan, you can cancel to stop future billing. Cancellation affects future renewals; it does not typically refund past charges.
If you were charged in error, contact us and we’ll look into it.
Pay‑as‑you‑go (PAYG) credits
PAYG credits are a digital purchase. Because they can be used immediately, PAYG purchases are generally non-refundable.
If you believe there was a mistake (for example, an accidental duplicate purchase), contact us and we’ll review it.
What counts as “extenuating circumstances”?
We can’t list every possible scenario, but examples might include:
- Duplicate charges for the same purchase
- A billing error on our side
- Service outages that prevented you from using what you paid for
Refunds (or account credits) in these cases are handled case-by-case and are at our discretion.
How to request help
Email us at [email protected] and include:
- The email address on your account
- The date and amount of the charge
- What happened (a short description is fine)
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
